Over the past six years or so, I've been doing an Animal Diorama project with my students. It's such a fun and engaging way to get my kiddos excited about animals and the research process.
However, I soon realized that before we begin the diorama project, the students need to have a solid foundation of the different animal habitats around the world.

I found some pretty awesome videos on Youtube (see my previous post about Animal Dioramas for those links here).
I've also created an Animal Habitat unit that has everything you need to teach your kiddos about habitats, including a student presentation that shows each habitat and the animals found there, printable activity pages and nonfiction comprehension practice, and printable bulletin board cards and headers to help get your room ready!
